Twitter CEO Dorsey: "Bitcoin reminds me the early years of the internet"

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said that the Bitcoin community reminded him of the early years of the internet. He also said that the Bitcoin community is extremely principled and always open to development.

Dorsey attended the Crypto Council for Innovation’s “The B World” conference on Wednesday with SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk and ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood.

The technology billionaire, known for his support of cryptocurrencies, said he was inspired by the opportunities that Bitcoin provides to those who do not have access to banking services. Dorsey continued:

“But what inspires me most about Bitcoin is the community that drives it. It reminds me of the early days of the internet. Highly principled, weird as hell, always evolving… The only reason I have a career is because I learn so much from the people who built Bitcoin.”

Dorsey added that he hopes Bitcoin will ensure world peace in the long run. Speaking at the conference, Musk said that Tesla, which stopped selling vehicles with Bitcoin in May, will likely accept the cryptocurrency again.

Musk also announced that he has invested in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin in addition to the Bitcoin held by Tesla and SpaceX. The statements made at the conference mobilized Bitcoin and the price of the cryptocurrency rose above $30K again.
