Madonna almost cried making MDNA
Aging singer Madonna has revealed how she almost cried when she was making her latest album MDNA, as it made her feel emotional to return to her music. Madonna told The Sun how she uses a completely different part of her brain when it comes to making music compared to making movies.
Madonna explained, "It's amazing to be back in music. I like the intimacy of a recording studio and songwriting. I'm using a different part of my brain when I work on music versus when I'm directing a film.
She added, "There are a billion more people on a film and I don't have that visceral outlet of being able to sing, scream... jump around."
Madonna continued, "It's very different. I love doing both but it was nice to have the simplicity of songwriting after three years of writing a script and directing and editing and talking about my film, to sit down and play my guitar and sing a song. I almost cried."
Madonna is set to release her new album MDNA on March 26 in both the US and the UK. All About Madonna MDNA
Madonna Facts
She says she's a workaholic: "I hate taking breaks - people come back lethargic, the energy's down. I mean, I bring my soya milk and my apple and my rice chips to the studio and I just want to keep working straight through." More Madonna Facts

"I am a nice little Ducky"
She's bold! She's bright! She's breezy! She's brassy! And she is - naturellement back! Madonna, we're talking about, mister; la beŭŭe dame de pop who is, even as we speak, flitting in the charts once more with "La Isla Bonita", a sweet song of Spanish sentiment which comes complete with a video in which Ms Ciccone is dressed as a flamenco dancer - a sad, young girl in a bright, red dress. What to do if MADONNA pops in for tea
. Do place lots of egg boxes on the walls to keep noise levels down - otherwise the local council may pop in and put a stop to your fun.
. DO have lots of proper Madonna-styled snacks on offer - some rice cakes (blee), some lentil soup (double blee) and some steamed spinach (blee to the power ol infinity!) should suffice.
. DO have an adequate supply of pop com for "afters" - but DON'T prepare it belorehand as Madonna likes to "pop" her own.
. DO get Dad to get out his Black And Decker Workmate and whip up a quick exercise bike - you never know when Madonna might fancy a little pedal.
. DO get Dad to get out his Black And Decker Workmate again and knock up a sturdy, reinforced chair for Clay Tave, Madonna's "beely" minder to sit in.
. DON'T pipe "You know, I didn't think Shanghai Surprise was all that bad" Madonna thinks the film was "a hellish nightmare" .
. Whilst Madonna is tucking into your lovely home made fruit cake, DON'T let awful Uncle Reg trundle in barking "Whoops-a-daisy, girlie, you've got a raisin stuck on your lip." )
. DO have a good supply of knickers to hand - in case Madonna discards hers and throws them out the window at a passer-by (ie. awlul Uncle Reg).
. DON'T let dad pult on his pipe full of Old Uncle Crusty's Shag - Madonna doesn't think tobacco is nice.
. DON'T let your brother come home from the Photography Club clutching his Kodak Brownie or he may well get beaten up.
. DO have a nice going home present ready: a can of vegetarian Happy Dog lor Hank and a lile in a cake lor Sean should do. (Seventeen Magazine, 1988)
