Baby on board! Uma Thurman is pregnant with her third child, a rep for the Smash actress confirms to Us Weekly. Uma Thurman’s new arrival will join her older children Maya, 13, and Levon, 10, whom she welcomed with ex-husband Ethan Hawke. Hawke, who married his and Thurman’s one-time nanny Ryan Shawhughes in 2008, has two children of his own: Clementine, 3, and Indiana, 6 months.
Following a brief split, Thurman, 41, recently rekindled her romance with financier beau Arpad Busson in 2011. Thurman’s film, Bel Ami, in which she plays Robert Pattinson’s love interest, hits theaters next month.
Uma Karuna Thurman was born April 29, 1970, in Boston, Massachusetts, and had an eccentric, multicultural upbringing. Her mother, Nena, is a half-Swedish, half-German former psychotherapist, while her father, Robert A.F. Thurman, is a Tibetan Buddhist monk and a University of Columbia professor. Uma was named after a Hindu deity that is the “bestower of blessings.”
