Disney. Following the prominent success of the The Lion King at the box office, Disney is developing a live-action version of the 1942 animated film “Bambi”. Screenwriters Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Lindsey Beer (Sierra Burgess is a Loser) will write the screenplay with the production of Depth of Field by Chris and Paul Weitz.
The film will use the photo-realistic CGI technique used in Disney’s versions of “The Jungle Book” and “The Lion King”. The story of the deer Bambi, who lived with the death of his mother from the hands of a hunter and who became a friend with a rabbit and skunk before dealing with this situation, will be modernly adapted to the screen.
Since the 2010 movie “Alice in Wonderland”, Disney’s strategy to recreate animation classics as live-action movies has grossed over $ 8.2 billion worldwide, and the studio is in no way slowing down. This year, “Mulan” directed by director Niki Caro and 101 Dalmatian movie “Cruella” starring Emma Stone in 2021 will meet the audience. Director Rob Marshall’s The Little Mermaid version will also be shot as live-action and Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Halle Bailey will be starring. While master director Robert Zemeckis was preparing a version of “Pinocchio”, Marc Webb started working to shoot “Snow White and Seven Dwarfs”.
The adaptations of Lilo and Stitch, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Peter Pan are among those discussed. For the next 4-5 years, our fairy-tale heroes will organize a raid on the big screen. The adults as well as the children will benefit from this situation and will have the opportunity to make a nice nostalgic journey.
