Halloween 2 movie storyline. After being attacked by Michael Myers (Dick Warlock), who vanished after being shot six times and falling from a second story balcony on October 31, 1978, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) is rushed to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital that same night. Michael’s recent escape and attacks become a news story as he steals a kitchen knife from an elderly couple’s house and kills their teenage neighbor (Anne Bruner).
He later finds out Laurie is at the hospital via the radio. Paramedic Jimmy Lloyd (Lance Guest) starts to develop romantic feelings for Laurie, much to the chagrin of head nurse Virginia Alves (Gloria Gifford). Once Michael arrives at the hospital, he cuts the phone lines, disables the cars, and kills most of the hospital personnel. While searching for Laurie, who is trying to evade Michael, Jimmy finds Mrs. Alves’ corpse and slips in a pool of blood on the floor, losing consciousness.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) is continuing his search for Michael when he sees a teenager wearing an outfit identical to Michael’s walking the streets; he mistakes the teen for Michael and attempts to shoot him when an oncoming police car rams him into a van, which explodes, accidentally killing him. Sheriff Leigh Brackett (Charles Cyphers) becomes upset with Loomis upon learning his daughter Annie was among Michael’s recent victims and leaves the manhunt. Loomis goes to examine the teenager’s burnt body and discovers he is actually Ben Tramer.
Following a riot at the Myers’ house, Loomis is informed Michael broke into Haddonfield Elementary School. As he investigates, Loomis’s colleague, Marion Chambers (Nancy Stephens), and a Marshal, Terrence Gummell (John Zenda), come to escort Loomis back to Smith’s Grove on the governor’s orders. En route, Marion tells Loomis that Laurie is Michael’s sister, according to a previously hidden file on Michael. Now realizing Michael is after Laurie, Loomis forces Gummell to drive to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital.
