Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, made a statement on social media that they will establish a new platform related to Bitcoin, which is considered the ancestor of cryptocurrencies. Dorsey announced that Fintech company Square will launch a new Bitcoin-focused business.
Dorsey, who has not lost his faith in cryptocurrencies that are traded almost 50 percent below their historical peaks, announced that his company Square will implement a new platform that will allow open development on the basis of decentralized finance.
The new company will focus on building an open developer platform to facilitate the creation of decentralized financial services. Dorsey announced the name of his new business as TBD.
