Love Hurts movie storyline. Paul Weaver (Jeff Daniels) and his boozy dad Boomer (John Mahoney) have their long-nurtured grievances and argue constantly in this incredibly dull and charmless comedy drama about a resentment-riddled family reluctantly brought together for a wedding, where Paul pursues a downtrodden homemaker who is quite possibly the most boring woman on earth.
