The Best Day of My Life - Il Hiù bel Giorno della mia Vita (2002)

The Best Day of My Life movie storyline. Irene, a still young lady mature, lives in the old villa linked to the memories of her past. Her greatest regret is that she has not been able to convey to her three children the attachment to the home and the concept of family that that place expresses. But the villa is not the only thing the three children refuse. Sarah, the older daughter, lives after her husband’s death in absolute emotional loneliness, spending the evenings waiting for the return of her son, with the constant fear of something happening to him.

Rita, the other daughter, is apparently more accomplished: she has a beautiful home, a husband, Charles, who married for love and two daughters, Silvia and Chiara. But the façade hides a dissatisfaction that does not allow them, since the birth of the second-born, to have sexual relations with her husband. And in the life of Rita he breaks the figure of a fascinating vet, David. Finally, Claudio, a young lawyer who lives in hiding and frustrated with his homosexuality. Such a vortex of dissatisfaction and repressed desires gives rise to tension and to the inevitability of those children who are more or less aware of the emotional earthquake that overwhelms parents.
