The Survivors movie storyline. Sonny Paluso and Donald Quinelle are two unfortunate people who have just lost their jobs; Sonny’s gas station has been blown away and Donald has just been fired by his boss’s parrot! But that day, their lives change when they prevent a robber from holding up a bar, and they become heroes. Unfortunately, Jack (the robber) gets away, and when he sees Donald’s face on the TV, he decides to go after them. In the meantime, Donald becomes obsessed with guns and leaves for the mountains to join a survivalist group.

The Survivors is a 1983 American comedy film directed by Michael Ritchie. It stars Walter Matthau, Robin Williams, Jerry Reed, James Wainwright, Kristen Vigard, Annie McEnroe and Anne Pitoniak.

Midway through the film Sonny comes home to find his daughter Candice watching a film on the television. Sonny is about to break to her the bad news that his gas station will no longer be in business. He takes a glance at the television and realizes it is a stag film playing. He soon ask “What’s this PBS?” Candice replies, “PBS, I’m sure. No its a cassette”. While looking at the VHS Sonny says, “When the west was wet, who gave you this?”.

During this is a pornographic scene of the VHS film playing on the television. In the Movie Moscow On The Hudson Valdimir (Robbin Williams) and closest friend Anatoly (Elya Baskin) are in New York City at a Howard Johnson’s. This same pornographic scene is played during the movie at approximately 27 minutes and 9 seconds, during the film Moscow On The Hudson.
